Refund Policy

Last updated: 15 October 2026

AgriMarket NG is committed to fair outcomes for buyers and sellers. This policy explains when refunds are available, how to request one, and how long they take to process.

When Refunds Are Available

Goods not delivered within 7 days of the confirmed delivery date

Goods materially different from the listing description (wrong breed, species, weight or condition)

Goods arrived damaged due to seller's packaging or handling

Seller confirmed order but failed to dispatch

Duplicate payment charged in error

When Refunds Are Not Available

Live animals accepted at farm pickup — no returns after acceptance

Perishable goods where cold-chain failure was caused by buyer's own logistics

Goods damaged during buyer-arranged transport

Disputes raised more than 72 hours after confirmed delivery

Change of mind after goods are dispatched

Orders placed entirely outside the platform (WhatsApp-only with no order record)

Goods that match the listing but buyer expected something different

How to Request a Refund

1

Go to My Orders in your workspace and find the relevant order.

2

Click "Raise a Dispute" within 72 hours of delivery.

3

Provide photos and a description of the issue.

4

Our team will review the dispute and contact both parties within 2 business days.

5

If a refund is approved on an order paid through AgriMarket, it is processed within 5–10 business days. Where you paid the seller directly, AgriMarket did not receive the money and cannot return it — the decision is recorded and the refund is arranged directly with the seller.

Order Refund Timelines

Payment MethodRefund Timeline
Payments processed through Paystack5–10 business days to your original payment method
Paid directly to the seller (cash on pickup, transfer to the seller, or terms agreed with them)AgriMarket did not receive this payment and cannot refund it — the seller returns it directly, on terms you agree
ReservationNo deposit is taken, so there is nothing for AgriMarket to return

Partial Refunds

Where only part of an order is affected (e.g. one item in a multi-item order is damaged), a partial refund proportional to the affected item's value may be issued. Where AgriMarket processed the payment, the Platform decides the amount of a partial refund on the evidence both parties provide. This does not limit any right you have under applicable Nigerian law, including the right to complain to a consumer protection regulator or to go to court.
